For my clients after their first TRE® class or private session.

Thank you for showing up for yourself today! Remember, your body knows what you need so listen to it. Some suggestions to keep in mind after our TRE® session:
- Drink more water than usual today.
- Rest if your body needs it — you may be tired.
- Take a warm bath if your muscles are sore (this usually only occurs the first time you do TRE®). Add Epsom salts and perhaps a few drops of lavender essential oil to your bath — it helps.
- Monitor any tiredness, emotional sensitivity, or involuntary shaking you experience over the next 24–48 hours. All of this is normal. (Remember you can straighten your legs and flex your feet to stop the tremoring.) If you’re in pain or anything concerns you, please contact me.
- Pay extra attention to your dreams tonight and note any synchronicities!
- Wait a couple of days before doing another TRE® session. This allows integration of the session as your body and nervous system adapt.
- Work with a TRE® Provider for a few private sessions or classes prior to starting your own personal practice. This assures that you’re doing the exercises safely and can self-regulate your tremoring and emotions. Plus, I can offer modifications to support you!
- Stick with the exercises we did today to start the tremors until you’ve been practicing for a while. After that, you may be able to skip to the wall sit or butterfly poses on the floor — or just lie down and shake after other physical activities.
- Shake no more than 2 to 3 times a week with a TRE® provider or on your own. Aim for 10–15 minutes of tremoring — no more than 20 minutes.
- Do not teach anyone TRE®, please. A TRE® Provider has completed a supervised certification process and is trained to teach it safely.
